Ethar Relief is a Birmingham-based charity serving East African refugees. It takes zakat and sadaqah donations for emergency aid, clean water wells and food for displaced families, including in Sudan.
‘Ethar’ is derived from an Arabic word, which denotes the altruistic giving to the needy without regard for one’s need, even if that need is justified. This elevated principal was the catalyst for the formation of our charity over a decade ago.
