Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using deen.page (“the Platform”), operated by Wahab Shaikh (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. The service

deen.page gives Muslim people and organisations one public page each, a directory to find them (Explore), connections and messages between pages, a feed of what the community makes, and listings of jobs and events that link to the employer’s or organiser’s own site. deen.page never takes job applications or event RSVPs.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for the security of that email account, which controls access to your pages.

4. Pages

A page is public, including to search engines, from the moment it is published. You may only create pages for yourself or for an organisation you are authorised to represent. We may refuse, suspend or remove a page used to impersonate someone else.

5. Your content

By adding content to deen.page you:

• keep ownership of it;
• give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and distribute it on and from the Platform, including in search results, feeds, Markdown copies and share images;
• confirm you have the right to publish it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• publish false, misleading or inaccurate information;
• impersonate another person or organisation;
• vouch for something you do not know first-hand, trade vouches, or use several accounts to vouch;
• send spam or unwanted messages, or distribute malware or harmful content;
• scrape or bulk-download the Platform in a way that ignores our robots.txt;
• disrupt or interfere with the Platform’s operation;
• use the Platform for anything unlawful.

7. Third-party links

Pages, jobs, events and projects link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability, including any application or registration you make there.

8. Intellectual property

The deen.page name, logo, design and original content (excluding your content) belong to Wahab Shaikh. Please do not use our branding without written permission.

9. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that information on it is accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Platform.

11. Termination

We may remove any page, listing or account that we determine breaks these Terms or harms other users or the Platform. You may ask us to delete your account at any time.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept them.
